DENVER, Colo., October 15, 2008 – Valen Technologies, the Software-as-a-Service predictive modeling experts for the property and casualty (P&C) insurance industry, announced today the appointment of David West to the position of Senior Vice President, Marketing. In his new position, West will report directly to Valen’s CEO Dax Craig and will lead the company’s corporate and product marketing strategies, initiatives, and staff. West’s appointment is the latest in Valen’s senior management team expansion in support of the company’s aggressive growth strategy. A highly experienced and respected insurance industry veteran, West was most recently the Research Area Director of TowerGroup’s Insurance practice where he had responsibility for managing the insurance research agenda and analyst staff. Prior to TowerGroup, West held senior management and technical positions at SAS Institute Inc., with a specific focus on the insurance and financial services industries. Earlier in his carrier, West spent 12 years with The Prudential Insurance Company of America in a variety of disciplines including IT and Underwriting. “David offers a unique and extremely strong combination of skills and knowledge.
