Account Executive

Valen Technologies is the leader in predictive analytics applied to insurance pricing. Our focus to date has been on commercial lines where we have enjoyed explosive growth over the last 12 months. Customers are particularly interested in their ability to increase their own profitability in the current soft market, a benefit well documented by Valen in using its solution.

Valen is seeking entrepreneurial candidates with an insurance salesbackground to join our sales team. Successful candidates will be creative, able to make presentations, be goal oriented and self motivated and have experience selling insurance underwriting solutions and have an established rolodex of relationships which can be leveraged.

Valen offers a highly competitive compensation package consisting of a base salary, a commission program which rewards success with commission for the entire term of an agreement which accelerating a portion of the funds into an up front payment, and with stock options. At plan sales should exceed $250,000 per year.

Areas of Responsibility:

Sales of predictive underwriting and audit models
Development long term relationships with customers which will support sales of future Valen Product offerings
Participation in the creation of knowledge acquisition plans to ensure their continued growth in understanding of Valen product offerings
Generally support the company in a professional manner verbally, in written form, at client meetings and trade shows

Experience/Knowledge/Attributes/Skills

Proven track record in selling to the insurance industry
Ability to help create account tactical plans designed on to support sale of Valen products

Education/Qualifications:

5+ years of experience selling underwriting solutions in the insurance industry
BA or BS degree
Experience selling predictive analytic software to the insurance industry is a plus

The position can be located within the 48 contiguous states and will require travel.
